LATEST: Actor ROB LOWE's attempts to dismiss a lawsuit filed against his former chef will "blow up in his face", according to the attorney representing his two ex-childminders.
The former West Wing star has been locked in a legal battle with his three previous employees since April (08).
Nannies Jessica Gibson and Laura Boyce have both accused Lowe of sexual harassment, while cook Peter Clements filed suit against the star and his family for wrongful termination.
Lowe and his wife Sheryl have vehemently denied all claims and hit back with their own lawsuits, claiming they're the victims of an attempted extortion scheme, led by Gibson.
However, Lowe moved to have his accusations against Clements dropped on Friday (23May08), after the chef reportedly agreed to provide information about Gibson and Boyce to help the actor's case against them.
But Gloria Allred, the nannies' lawyer, has slammed Lowe's tactics - and insists the purported deal he's reached with Clements will do nothing to benefit his legal cases against her clients.
She tells website TMZ.com, "We believe that Mr. Lowe's latest legal manoeuvre will blow up in his face and will not get him out of the hot soup that he has landed in because of the two lawsuits that we have filed against him.
"Whatever Mr. Lowe has attempted to cook up smells bad - and will leave a lasting bad taste in his attempts to go after two innocent nannies who loved and cared for his children."
The Lowes' suit against Clements is expected to be formally dismissed later this week (begs26May08). Clements is also due to drop his accusations against the Lowes.
